My current work, as a Postdoctoral Scholar and Associate in Geochemistry, at California Institute of Technology centers upon studying vapor pressure isotope effects (VPIE's) of ethane and methane relevant to lakes and the atmosphere of Titan, the future exploration site for the NASA Dragonfly mission aimed to launch in 2026.
The core of my research interests centers upon three themes: First, making laboratory experiments relevant to future and ongoing mission work (future Dragonfly, Europa Clipper, Mars 2020 / Perseverance and Mars Sample Return) with specifically centered upon applying the tools of isotope geochemistry (such as studying non canonical and mass independent fractionations relevant to both early earth and extraterrestrial planetary environments). Second, I am interested in making laboratory experiments relevant to mineral biomorphs, abiotic mineral self organization, and chemical gardens and identifying biosignatures in early Earth records (i.e., cherts and carbonates). Third, I pursue involvement in mission work and serving as a participating scientist on mission planning and development and mission support.
Please do not hesitate to contact me for collaboration! [email protected] and [email protected].
